Nepal College of Travel and Tourism Management (NCTTM), established in 1995, is the first tourism and hospitality educational institution of Nepal devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and developing executive and managerial level human resource personnel for the tourism and hospitality sector, both in the qualitative and quantitative terms. It is a private institution owned and managed by a woman entrepreneur Mrs. Chhaya Sharma, Member of Constituent Assembly. NCTTM has a limited quota for enrolling in Bachelor’s Degree programs viz. Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) and Hotel Management (BHM), and Master’s Degree program in Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM) under Tribhuvan University which is the central university of Nepal. NCTTM has more than 1000 alumni around the world. Additionally, it provides short-term and demand-based training to needy people.
NCTTM has shouldered a big responsibility towards providing qualitative, affordable, value-driven, market-driven, and efficient education to our students in the Tourism and Hospitality field. It primarily aims at building global career prospects for the young generation in the rapidly emerging and highly demanding and competitive sectors: Tourism and Hospitality.
NCTTM pursues its mission to be the premier institution in the tourism and hospitality education sector of Nepal in imparting a world-class tourism and hospitality education system that provides the related industries with quantitative, competent, and professional graduates focusing all its effort on making it the leading institution in the tourism and hospitality education in South Asia by developing competitive human resources, creating and applying knowledge and establishing ties with the social and productive sectors.
NCTTM has brought out 17 batches of BTTM, 9 batches of BHM, and 7 batches of MTTM graduates in the tourism and hospitality sector. It has a 98% placement rate. It is the receiver of Mahendra Vidhya Bhushan and Aishwarya Vidhya Padak. It has conducted academic training including Research Methodology Training, and Journal Article Writing Training in the financial support of University Grants Commission Nepal. Additionally, NCTTM developed Training Courses and conducted training for Cab Drivers at Tribhuvan International Airport on behalf of the Nepal Tourism Board in 2003. NCTTM also offers a Culinary Arts program under Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).
