Mithila House Pvt. Ltd. is a venture to promote not only Mithila art but also the entire culture located in the heart of Lalitpur. This holistic center gives you an entire experience through its art gallery promoting Mithila art and culture along with an outlet providing different products highlighting the vibrant and colorful Mithila culture. Mithila House works with independent registered Mithila artists and collaborates with them in regard to different projects (wall paintings) of Mithila art products. With an outlet in Bardibas, and in Kathmandu, Mithila House is aiming to expand to many more outlets including restaurants, museums and art schools in the next 10 years to promote Mithila culture, traditions and artwork. Altogether 15-20 artists are working with the company and are planning to start a small community for the artists, to encourage and motivate them to showcase their talents. The company offers products ranging from clothing to house decors, kitchen decors, paintings, Mithila art sessions as well as a collaborative approach in its various ranges of products. One of the main elements of Mithila House is that all our products are handcrafted and hand-painted, as the sole purpose of the company is to revive and promote the artwork as well as the artist.
