Founded in 1984, The Association for Craft Producers (ACP) is a local, not for profit, fair trade organization providing design, marketing, management, and technical services to low-income Nepalese craft producers primarily women. These services result in regular and adequate wages to supplement family income and improve the overall standard of their living. Together, we blend traditional craft with modern design and technology to suit market trends.

ACP provides income generating opportunities to more than 1,000 handicraft artisans (90% women) from 12 districts of Nepal in 17 skill categories and employs 60 full-time staff. ACP deals with various product categories with a focus on household cotton textiles, knitwear, felt, ceramics copper, glass, silver jewelry, paper, leather, bamboo and woodworks for both the domestic and export markets.  It caters to the local customers through its retail shop, “Dhukuti” while exporting is handled through its sister organization, “Nepali Craft Trading P. Ltd” ACP is also a member of World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) –Regional &global. ACP is accredited as guaranteed Fair Trade Organization by WFTO global.
