Aama Impex is a private company established in 1985 with a mission to revive the rich Himalayan natural fibres. Its vision is going deep into the roots of Himalayan hand-woven textiles and crafts to find their relevance in the present context.

The company started exporting different handicrafts and gradually diversified to Nettle natural fibre and Pashmina. A well-equipped manufacturing unit, Aama Craft was established in 1994 for Aama Group to integrate manufacturing and trading activities, today is the driving force behind Aama’s success story. The business involves 60% export and 40% retail.

Aama claimed the best-decorated stall award at the 2nd Handicraft Trade Fair in 1993. In 2000 it was recognized as one of the four largest exporters of Pashmina goods by the Handicraft Association of Nepal (HAN) and has exhibited many times in International Trade Fairs.

Product lines include accessories, garments, knit-wears and home furnishing made up of fibres like Allo (Nettle) natural fibres, silk and pashminas, cotton and wool. Locally products are sold through company outlets located in Club Himalaya, Nagarkot (a five-star resort in Nepal) and the heart of tourist area, Thamel.
