The traditional handmade Nepali blanket “Dolaii” is very versatile in use - as light blankets, throws, wrap-around etc. The traditional Dolaii is created in Tye-Dye prints in muslin fabric (malmal) using natural dyes extracted from vegetables & fruits such as turmeric, beetroot, spinach, pomegranate, etc. The blankets are hand quilted by local artisans (traditional tailors) and are padded with cotton fillings smoothened with nettings to provide a firm hold and smooth finish.
